Dear Springhouse community,

We surpassed our goal! Every year in our annual fundraiser, we witness the power of community: people sharing the vitality of Springhouse and inviting others to help support this place.

This June, you helped Springhouse raise over $120,000. The total includes prizes awarded through Give Local NRV, the Community Foundation of the New River Valley's annual Giving Day, for raising the most money and attracting the most unique donors. More than 480 people contributed because of the incredible outreach of our community members who believe in the work Springhouse carries out season by season, day by day.

Every gift, large and small, is an act of tending the spring. It sustains the staff, the land, and the practices that keep this community alive and growing. It also sends a clear message: that slow, deep, life-giving work is worth supporting.

We are grateful for each of you who gave, shared, and cheered us on. You are an important part of what makes this spring flow. Thank you!

With deep gratitude and summer joy,

Carolyn and the Springhouse Team

So it has been since creation, and it will go on.We chase chickens or dogs away from it. Babies teethe at the corners. They scrape their knees under it.It is here that children are given instructions on what it means to be human. We make men at it, we make wome...
